BeeKeeper: Hive Log

Last updated: 8 October 2026 · App id: com.hiddenflame.beekeeper

Short version: your hive records stay on your phone. An account is optional and is only used to back up and sync your records. There are no ads, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and we never sell or share your data.

1. Who we are

BeeKeeper: Hive Log ("the app") is made by HiddenFlame. Questions about this policy or your data: beekeeper@multitools.ovh.

2. Using the app without an account

The app works fully offline. Hives, apiaries, inspections, treatments, feedings, harvests, notes and photos are stored only in the app's private storage on your device. We cannot see this data. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

3. Optional account (backup & sync)

If you choose to sign in with Google, Apple or email, we store on our backend (Supabase, a cloud database provider):

Photos are kept in a private storage bucket that only your account can access. Your records are used for nothing other than giving them back to you.

4. Location

Location is optional. If you allow it, the app reads your position only while you are placing an apiary on the map. The apiary's coordinates are saved with your records (and synced if you have an account). We do not track your location in the background.

5. Third-party services

To show maps, find places and show the weather, the app contacts these services directly from your device. They receive your IP address and the data shown below, and handle it under their own privacy policies:

6. Ideas & feedback

If you post an idea, vote, or send feedback, we store the text you wrote together with a random id created by the app (or your account id when signed in). It is used only to count votes, apply limits and read your feedback.

7. Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We do not use push-notification tokens.

8. What we don't do

9. Security

All network traffic uses HTTPS. Server data is protected by row-level security, so each account can only read its own records.

10. Deleting your account

You can delete your BeeKeeper account and everything stored in it at any time:

What is deleted: your email address and sign-in details, all synced hive records, apiaries and their locations, and all synced photos. Ideas and votes you posted stay on the public board but are no longer linked to an account. Records stored only on your phone stay there until you delete them or uninstall the app.

11. Deleting some or all of your data

Without deleting your account you can:

Deleted records are removed from your backup on the next sync, and from your other devices too.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA), you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to its processing. Contact us at the address above; you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

13. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

14. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
