BeeKeeper: Hive Log
Short version: the app is free to use for all your hives and records. BeeKeeper Pro is an optional yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase through Google Play. Your records stay yours and can always be exported. The official record formats are a help, not legal advice.
1. The app
BeeKeeper: Hive Log ("the app") is made by HiddenFlame. By using it you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
2. Free and Pro
Keeping hives, apiaries, entries, reminders, and exporting your data (Excel, CSV, full backup) are free. BeeKeeper Pro adds backup & sync, official-format reports and mite counting from a photo. What Pro includes may grow; features you paid for will not be removed from Pro during a paid period.
3. Subscriptions and lifetime purchase
- Yearly: billed to your Google Play account when any free trial ends, then every year. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date in Google Play → Subscriptions. Cancelling keeps Pro until the end of the paid year.
- Free trial: offered once per Google account. If you don't cancel before it ends, the yearly price is charged.
- Lifetime: one payment, no renewal. It gives Pro for as long as the app is offered, on the Google account that bought it (and on your BeeKeeper account if you were signed in).
- Prices are shown in the app in your currency before you pay, including any taxes Google applies.
- Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy. Write to us if something went wrong — we will help.
4. Your records
Your records belong to you. If Pro ends, nothing is deleted: you can still view, add and export everything; only the Pro features stop.
5. Official records and advice
Medicine records, biosecurity and disease records are laid out after the rules we found for each country (for example Regulation (EU) 2019/6 Art. 108, the UK Veterinary Medicines Regulations, the Australian Code of Practice and the New Zealand AFB Pest Management Plan). Rules differ by region and change. You remain responsible for keeping the records your authority requires, using authorised medicines and following product labels. Advice and guides in the app are general information, not veterinary advice.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break into other accounts, overload the servers, or post unlawful content on the ideas board. We may remove such content and close accounts that do this.
7. Liability
The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, HiddenFlame is not liable for indirect losses, lost honey or colonies, or penalties from authorities. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.
8. Changes
If these terms change, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes to paid plans apply from your next renewal.
